Q: »I can scroll now, but I can't mark text!«
A: Hold down the CTRL-key to bypass the extension.
Q: »The extension doesn't work on all pages.«
A: It's a security measure of Chrome to disable extensions like this on secured (SSL/https) sites.
Q: »I know a website which isn't https and doesn't scroll with your extension!«
A: Tell me, either
here or
here.
Q: »On installation, Chrome tells me that you can access all my personal information!? What the heck?«
A: That's a general disclaimer. In theory, that would be possible for all Javascripts. Dragscroll can't do that and I am not able to code that! ;)
Q: »Are you still working on this extension?«
A: I'm still looking for bugs and will correct them, if possible. Additionally, I'm actually using it, maybe I'll stumble upon issues.
Q: »There's a Greasemonkey script named Dragscroll. Is that you?«
A: No. But
that script was my pattern. I didn't start from scratch.
Q: »What's wrong with that Greasemonkey script?«
A: It didn't work for me in my Chrome. So I decided to modify it.
Q: »Is this the only extension of this kind?«
A: No. Make sure to also check out
Quick Scrolling and
Chrome Touch.
